There are Times

...when I feel like I have no business doing a race like Lake Placid.

Just going to focus on building up some strength during the 5ish weeks of training coming up before the taper.

And cross my fingers to hope for the best.

I feel the same about IMLP right now. 5 more weeks of hard training though. It will be easy after that right?

You will be more than ready on race day. Trust in your training - and even more importantly, yourself.

Hi from the Edison fans..... We were thinking of you and feeling a bit ashamed this week end as we embarked on our 4 mile walk for breast cancer. How dare we get shin splints from such a short distance, but we have to start somewhere..... 2,000 people in a tiny town. Anyway, the good thing for you is that when you get discouraged in trainning you can always shift mindsets and pretend you are in a different place, see yourself where you were really enjoying yourself. Imagine your favorite place being around the next bend...... Just a thought, and one I do when I want to be somewhere else......

Aunt Nancy and Uncle George went on their honeymoon in Lake Placid, so they might be familiar with things you might see along the way... Keep on truckin' -

I told my high school
comunication impaired class about you and they said you are Lance ARmstrong, Michael Phelps, and Road Runner all wrapped up in one.
Guess we have a pretty amazing cousin....... Bye for now

If you believe in yourself half as much as I believe in you, you will win IMLP.

It's just that time in your training. It's hard. It's tiring, but it's all worthwhile once you hit that taper! Hang tough! Enjoy the ride, even the hard parts.

D - You are going to do awesome in Lake Placid and you have every business being there! You will be ready. I remember several days with highly negative thoughts leading up to IMLP last year. Coach K is great and will have you more prepared than you realize. Trust your training!
